Obituary of Michael Scott Weiner
Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Michael Scott Weiner, of Monticello, NY, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020.
He was the son of Carole (Ames) Weiner and the late Arnold L. Weiner, born on January 14, 1965 in New York City.
The ultimate shortstop and formidable competitor, Michael, enjoyed baseball, then softball, golf, bowling and harness racing. Michael had a lifetime of success on the track as an owner, trainer and amateur driver. His final win as owner came December 23, 2020 in the ninth race at Monticello with his own KJ Brent. A lifelong Mets and Jets fan, Michael, lived for sports, gambling, smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee. He will live on in the hearts of all that knew him, as a competitor, as a coach and most of all as one of the funniest, most brutally honest, amazing human beings.
Predeceased by his loving father, Arnie Weiner. Survived by his loving mother, Carole Weiner; sister, Jodi Dijennaro, and fiancé, Dr. Jennifer Lowrey. As well as his adoring beagle, Lucy.
