Obituary of Mr.. Robert J. Cronk

Cronk, a lifelong resident of Sullivan County, passed away on Friday September 20, 2013 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY. Born in Liberty, NY on October 13, 1925, he was the son of the late Vincent and Marie Bishert Cronk. Robert was a self-employed painting contractor. He was a member of St. Peter's church in Liberty, NY and he was active in various civic organizations. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Elizabeth (Lisa) Cronk at home; sons, Robert Cronk Jr. and fiancé Sharon Ceravello of Rome, NY and Thomas Cronk and wife Beth Devoe of Grooville, NY; daughters, Linda Cain and fiancé Michael Smith of Biloxi, MS and Patty Devoe and husband Kim of White Sulphur Springs, NY; stepchildren, Lucille Venne of Ottawa, Canada, Barbara Venne and husband Don Hopkins of Toronto, Canada, Neil Venne and wife Suzanne of Sarnia, Canada and Morris Venne of Ottawa, Canada; brother, Donald Cronk of Wisconsin; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased his brother, Vincent Cronk and his sister, Anna Rose. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday September 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM at Ramsay's Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 25. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Cold Spring Rd. Liberty, NY.
