Obituary of Elizabeth "Betty" Crespo

Elizabeth "Betty" E. Crespo of Liberty passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 1, 2019. She was 76.

She was the daughter of the late Emmit and Edith Scott Houghtaling, born on November 6, 1942 in Liberty, NY.

Betty was a nurse's aid for many years at Walnut Mountain Nursing Home. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and crocheting. She loved animals but she espically loved spending time with her family. She always made her home a warm and welcoming place for all to come and visit. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children Charles Emmitt Crespo and his wife Rene, Anthony Crespo and his wife Diane, Roy Crespo, and Natalio Crespo Jr., her grandchildren Roger, Rosalie, Charles Jr., Joseph, Brandy, Brooke, Osmin, Catherine, Moggy, Maya and Kianna, seven great grandchildren, her siblings Raymond Houghtaling, Vernon "Butch" Houghtaling, and Irene Hardy and a host of friends.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband Natalio "Charlie" Crespo.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home, 275 South Main Street, Liberty, NY 12754 from 2-4:00pm and 7-9:00pm.
