Obituary of Randy Friend

Home: Liberty, New York USA Place of Birth: Liberty, New York USA Obituary Randy Friend Sr. Liberty, NY Randy Friend Sr., a lifelong Liberty resident, passed away on Thursday March 30, 2017 at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. He was 63. The son of Arthur and Letha Friend, he was born on July 4, 1953 in Liberty, NY. Randy drove truck for Callahan Industries in Newburgh and was a member of Teamsters Local 445. He belonged to St. Peter's Church in Liberty and was a life member of the NRA and was a member of HOG - Harley Davidson Owners Group. He had been a scuba diving instructor in Florida and was an entrepreneur having owned several businesses in Liberty and Bradenton, FL. He leaves behind his mother Letha "Lee" Friend of Liberty; companion, Eileen Wohltjen of Hurleyville, NY; daughter, Michelle Friend of Michigan; grandchildren: Matthew, Evangeline and Rylan Friend of Michigan and cousins, Phillip Owen of Bradenton, FL, Terry Owen of Sarasota, FL and Kathy (Lynn) Kendall of Sarasota, FL. Randy was predeceased by his father Arthur Friend and his son, Randy Friend Jr. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 4 - 7 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 5, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Ramsay's Funeral Home with Fr. William Scafidi officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery, Cold Spring Rd. Liberty, NY.
