Obituary of Katherine Nancy McLarney
Katherine Nancy McLarney passed away peacefully November 19, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Alden and Emily Guller Miller. She was born in Gloversville, NY February 18, 1921. She lived in Newport, NY before moving to Monticello, NY in 1937. She was a graduate of Monticello High School in 1940. She has lived in Smallwood, NY since 1949.
Nancy was Past President of the White Lake School PTA and a Lifetime Member of the New York State Congress of the Parent Teachers Association. She was also Past Head Teacher of the Town of Bethel Youth Recreation Arts and Crafts and Swimming Program under the direction of the late Anthony Coney. She was also a Charter Member of the VFW Auxiliary for the Sgt. Andrew Brucher Post 5499. Nancy was a retired School Bus Driver having driven 14 years for the Monticello Central School District.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna VanKempen of Coatesville, PA and Karen Hubert and husband Tim of Sykesville, MD, son-in-law James McBride, Grandchildren John (Heather) Bruning, Jerry (Kim) Bruning, Jennifer McBride, Brian (Amy) VanKempen, Kevin VanKempen and Christopher VanKempen, ten Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by daughter Susan McLarney, four brothers Alden, Robert, Stewart and Edward Miller and one sister Carolyn Heins.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Sunday, November 25th at Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home, 3534 State Route 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 26th at the funeral home at 1pm. Rev. David Coon will be officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
