Hill, a lifelong Sullivan County resident, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Achieve Rehab & Nursing Facility in Liberty, NY. He was 98 years of age. The son of the late Delbert and Lena Bowers Hill, he was born on September 2, 1917 in Hurleyville, NY. Ken was a self-employed contractor for many years. He was a WW II Navy Veteran and served as a member of the Board Crew on the Franklin D. Roosevelt Carrier. Ken was a former member of the White Sulphur Springs Fire Dept. and was a lifetime member of the White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. He was a man of many varied hobbies throughout his life. Survivors include his longtime companion, Carol Bowers, at home; children, Lewis Hill (Betty) of Ballston Spa, NY, Janet Al-Hussaini (Muayad) of Great Falls, VA and Carol Norris (Paul) of Swan Lake, NY; granddaughters, Dr. Moria Norris (Darren Wilson) of Briscoe, NY, Naomi Moore (Dimitri) of Brisbane, CA, Kismet Al-Hussaini of Great Falls, VA, Chellie Norris of Syracuse, NY, Sara Hill of Sebastopol, CA and Yasamin Holland (Tim) of Denver, CO and great-grandchildren, Selma Chelotti and Skylar Kenneth Moore. Ken was predeceased by his wives, Frances Hill, Beatrice Goldsmith Hill and May Britt Hoffman Hill. The Hill family will receive friends on Saturday November 21, 2015 from 3 PM to 4 PM at the White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be held at 4 PM at the church with Rev. Bridgette LeConey officiating.
