Obituary of Daniel S. Huebner

Huebner, a lifelong Sullivan County resident, passed away on Sunday August 31, 2014 at Achieve Rehab & Nursing Facility in Liberty, NY with his family by his side. He was 53 years of age. Born on January 3, 1961 in Monticello, NY, he was the son of Robert and Joan Woytera Huebner. Dan was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was also an avid sportsman who enjoyed sharing his knowledge, skills and his love of the outdoors with others and he especially encouraged young people to develop that same enthusiasm. Dan was a Corrections Officer at Woodbourne Correctional Facility and as an active community member, he was a Deacon and member of the White Lake Reformed Presbyterian Church; a lifetime member of the NRA; a NYS Hunter Safety Instructor; a NYS Boater Safety Instructor; a member of Excelsior Sportsman Club in Eldred, NY; a member of Hagen Hunting Club in Monticello and a member of Monticello Elks Lodge # 1544. He leaves behind his loving wife, Patricia Coddington Huebner at home; his parents, Robert and Joan Huebner of Monticello; son, Daniel Huebner at home; daughter, Brooke Huebner at home; brothers, Robert Huebner and wife Tracey of Connecticut, Thomas Huebner and wife Christine of Plattsburg, NY and Gary Huebner and wife Doreen of Monticello, NY; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and PeeWee. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 10 AM to 11 AM at White Lake Reformed Presbyterian Church, Rt 17B & Mattison Rd. White Lake, NY. Memorial services will be at 11 AM at the church with Rev. David Coon officiating.
