Barbara M. Fogarty, a lifelong Sullivan County resident, passed away at her home on November 22, 2015. She was 85 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Elizabeth A. Peterson Huth and was born on March 25, 1930 in Jeffersonville, NY.
Barbara was a retired Executive Secretary for the Sullivan County Veterans Agency in Monticello, NY. She was member of St. Peter's Church in Monticello and belonged to Sullivan County Legal Secretaries Assn. She loved to travel and she loved to square dance. She volunteered for years at the RSVP and at the Veteran's Agency. She was a member of the Rosary Society and was a longtime member of the Happy Footers Square Dance Club.
She is survived by beloved family members; niece, Helen Williams (Everett), Helen's children, Jeremy and Curtis (Caitlin) Williams and adored twins, Branden and Douglas Williams; son, Richard Watson; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Victoria Watson; her cousin, Charlene Hemmer and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dear friends, Arthur and Barbara Viele, Elsie and Howard Wasserman, Sharon and Earl Lilley, Jeanie Celini and many other friends and by her longtime Happy Footers Square Dance Club friends and by her beloved cats. She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy E. Huth.
"Aunt Barbara was an elegant woman. She was a lot of fun and loved kidding around. We will truly miss her. Aunt Barbara was always at our special events and holidays. It won't be the same without her."
Visiting hours are on Sunday December 6, 2015 from 7 - 9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty. Barbara's Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 10 AM at St. Peter's Church in Monticello, NY. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Route 52, Youngsville, NY.
