Obituary of Marie Bridges

Home: Liberty, New York USA Place of Birth: Pelham, Georgia USA Marie Bridges Liberty, NY Marie Bridges, 92, passed away on October 30, 2014 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty, NY. She was born in Pelham, Georgia on July 7, 1922 to the late Victoria Brown and Hendrickson Jones. Marie worked hard as a housekeeper and was an excellent cook. She moved from Georgia to Liberty, NY in 1962 and became a member of Friendship Baptist Church in 1965. She leaves behind two daughters, Marjorie Covington of Monticello and Brenda Bowman (Douglas) of Liberty; three sons, John Bridges, Arelious Bridges and Aundri Bridges, all of Liberty; fifteen grandchildren, Gloria Williams of North Carolina, Maria Gamble of Manhattan, Angela Gamble of Maryland, Lorraine Horsley (Troy) of Maryland, Garlina Finn of New Jersey, Terry Covington of Liberty, Shavon Bryant of Monticello, Jennifer Irby (Troy) of Verene, NY, Sabrina Smith of NYC, Rayshawn Reynolds (Rosie) and Katrina Bridges , both of Monticello, Jamin Bridges of NY, O'Shaun Jemmott of Syracuse and Sonya Hamilton of Liberty; three Godsons, Keith, Henry and Gerald Jackson; 51 great-grandchildren and 31 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three children, Mary Carney, Charles Wynn and Benjamin Bridges and by six grandchildren. Friends may call on Tuesday November 4, 2014 from 7 - 9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 5 at 11 AM at the Friendship Baptist Church in Ferndale, NY. Rev. Harry Brown Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Liberty Cemetery, Cold Spring Rd. Liberty, NY.
