Obituary of Theresa Ann Cassidy

Theresa Ann Cassidy, of Forestburgh, passed away peacefully on Thursday June 7, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 63. Theresa was the daughter of William John Cerone and the late Rose Marie Bonserio, Born on November 22, 1954 in Queens, NY. Theresa retired last year as a library clerk from the EB Crawford Library in Monticello, she worked as a substitute teacher in the Monticello Central School District. She also had worked as a respiratory therapist in Mercy Hospital in Port Jervis, Community General Hospital in Harris, Albert Einstein Hospital, and Booth Memorial Hospital. She was a past president and charter member of the Red Hat Society Monticello Chapter, past president and member of the Forestburgh Fire Co. #1 Ladies Auxiliary, and past president of the Middle School PTA in the Monticello Central School District. In her free time she had served as a CCD Teacher at St. Peters Church. She was an amazingly loving wife, mother and friend to all that knew and loved her; she will be dearly missed. She is survived by her devoted husband of 39 years John T. Cassidy Sr. at home whom she married on September 23, 1978, her son John T. Cassidy Jr, and daughter Danielle M. Cassidy, her father William Cerone, her sister Maria (Bob) Sincovich, brother in law Larry (Maureen) Cassidy, several nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be on Sunday June 10, 2018 at Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home 55 St. John Street Monticello, NY 12701 from 2-4:00pm and 7-9:00pm with a Firematic Service held at 3:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday June 11, 2018 at St. Peter's Church 10 Liberty Street, Monticello, NY 12701at 10:00am, her cousin Father Vincent Biagi will co-officiate with Father Ivan Csete. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Forestburgh, NY.
