Obituary of Donald Ray Lindsley

Donald Ray Lindsley, of Auburndale, FL, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Catskill Regional Medical Center, he was 84.

 

He was the son of the late Howard Lindsley and Flora Wood, born on September 21, 1933 in Livingston Manor, NY.

 

Donald grew up in Livingston Manor, NY and proudly served our country in the United States Air Force.  He was a great outdoorsman who loved hunting but was big time in to fly fishing and his lake time. He took enjoyment in making things himself including his own home.  He even used reclaimed lumber from the original Woodstock stage that he had also built. He worked at the Liberty Post Office and moved to Florida in 2014. 

 

He is survived by his wife Margaret, his daughter Susan Nitchke, granddaughter Christina, nephew David Lindsley and niece Sandra.

He is predeceased by his brother Melvin Lindsley.

 

A memorial will be held in Lakeland, FL at a later with full military honors.
