Obituary of Evelyn May Lagarde

Lagarde Woodbourne, NY Evelyn May Lagarde, of Woodbourne, passed away in the comfort of her home, on Monday January 11, 2016. She was 79. The daughter of the late Clarence J. Roser Sr. and Susie Dolgas Roser, she was born on January 16, 1936 in Livingston Manor, NY. Evelyn received her BS degree at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. She became an accountant and was CFO for Scenic View Farms, Brothers Two Stables and several other companies in Sullivan County. As a lover of plants and wildlife, she belonged to the Arbor Society and the Wildlife Society. She is survived by her husband, Edward Lagarde at home; her son, Albert Lippelt of Cumberland, RI; daughters, Deborah Durso of Utica, NY, Lynn Winters (Richard) of Liberty, Megan Andrews of Woodbourne and Laurie Nolan (Robert) of Springfield, VT; brothers, Merritt Roser (Ethel) of Livingston Manor and Clarence Roser Jr. (Barbara) of Liberty; sisters, Patricia Kirschbaum (Clay) of Cochecton and Jean Sakett (Jim) of Narrowsburg; grandchildren, John, Raymond, Michael, Susan and Lynn Durso, Richard and Christopher Winters, Teressa and Ashley Mathews and Jason, Jarred and Justin Allen; fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 2-4 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty. Memorial funeral services will be at 4 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Bridgette LeConey officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn's name to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St. East Syracuse, NY 13057.
