Obituary of Dennis Joseph Walker

Home: Hortonville, New York USA Place of Birth: Jersey City, New Jersey USA Dennis Joseph Walker, 58, passed away on Thursday March 7, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Tucson, AZ. He was the son of the late Ralph H. Walker and Lillian Nugent Walker and was born on November 18, 1954 in Jersey City, NJ. Dennis was a graduate of Delaware Valley Central School and CCAF (Air Force). He was a Volunteer Firefighter and was a Deputy Sheriff for Sullivan County. He joined the US Air Force on Feb. 4, 1975 and made it his career, retiring in 1993 as a Technical Sergeant. Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Hoover and her husband, Brett, of Livingston, Texas; sisters, Peggy Gray of Colorado, Liz Thompson and her husband, Joseph, of Symrna, NY and Daniele Edwards of Liberty; brothers, Danny Walker of North Branch, Jimmy Walker of Lake Katrine, NY and Kevin Walker of Livingston Manor, NY. and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Burial of Dennis's ashes will take place on Saturday April 13, 2013 at 3 PM with Military Honors at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
