Obituary of Jane B. Gettel

Jane Gettel, of Kauneonga Lake, passed away on peacefully onSunday, November 17, 2019 at Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility in Liberty, NewYork. She was 92.The daughter of the late James Burleigh and Janet FergusonBurleigh, she was born on May 22. 1927 in Mahoopany, PA.Jane was a Register Nurse at both the Hamilton AvenueHospital and Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was active member of theKauneonga Lake Community being a member of the Methodist Church, the KauneongaLake Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, The Bethel Smallwood Senior CitizenClub, a member of the Red Hat Society and was a past Bethel Senior of the year.She is survived by her children Gary Gettel and his wifeNoreen of Moravia, NY, Robert Gettel and his wide Donna of Annapolis, MD,William Gettel and his wife Bette Jean of Cochecton, NY and Daniel Gettel ofKauneonga Lake, NY; three grandchildren James Gettel and his wife Jody ofMoravia, NY, Kelly Proper and her husband Jared of Moravia, NY, and AshleyGettel of Cochecton, NY; four great grandchildren and several nieces andnephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Russell Gettel,her son, Douglas Gettel, her brothers James and David, and her sisters Mildredand Carol.
