Obituary of Fred Kavleski

Home: Ferndale, New York USA Place of Birth: Brooklyn, New York USA Fred Kavleski a lifetime area resident, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Castle Point VA Medical Center after a short illness. He was 96 years of age. Born on February 1, 1916 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Michael and Helen Kowalewich He was a veteran of WW II having served in the U S Army in Europe. He was a retired dairy farmer and school bus driver who loved his farm and loved to polka. Fred will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He was the widower of Anne Kavleski who died in 1997. Survivors include his sister, Lillian Hutchinson of Middletown, formerly of Ferndale; his son, Robert of Ferndale, NY and his companion Hilde Koch of Liberty; his daughter, Lola Riddick and husband Keith of Middletown, NY; two granddaughters, Laura Riddick of Ferndale and Susan Riddick Kacmar and husband Peter of Dumfries, Va. and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty Funeral services will be conducted by the family on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. at Ramsay's Funeral Home Private burial will be held at the Liberty Cemetery, Cold Spring Road, Liberty, NY.
