Obituary of Ernest Edward Fredenburgh
Ernest Edward Fredenburgh, known as Bucky, a lifelong resident of Liberty, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2018 at Hannoffee Park.
He is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest and Florence Fredenburgh of Liberty, NY.
He was a wounded Vietnam veteran: recipient of two purple hearts, three bronze stars, as well as other medals and awards. He was a former long term employee of Harris Hospital where he was loved by all of his former staff as well as the patients. He was an above average hunter, fisherman and outdoors-man. He was very knowledgeable with firearms, it was his passion. He loved his 1997 green Ford pickup truck, which you would see and hear as he came down the road. His second love was his 2010 plum crazy purple Challenger, which he had driven seasonally. He was a great son to his parents, loving and caring brother and uncle. He enjoyed quality time with his family. He was one of the best friends you could ever have. Once you met him you would never forget him.
He leaves behind his loving family. His sister Angelica (Chickie) Bloom of Liberty, NY., his brother Edward Fredenburgh of Liberty, NY., his loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, many cousins and uncounted number of friends.
He is predeceased by his sister Roberta Steinberg. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten by all of his family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2-4pm & 7-9pm on Friday, September 21st at Colonial Ramsay Funeral Home, 275 South Main St. Liberty, NY. A service will be held on Saturday, September 22nd at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Peters Cemetery with full military honors.
