Obituary of Richard H. Yeomans

Home: Swan Lake, New York USA Place of Birth: Monticello, New York USA Richard H. Yeomans Swan Lake, NY Richard H. Yeomans, a lifelong Sullivan County resident, passed away on Wednesday November 21, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 78. The son of the late Howard and Jesse Mumford Yeomans, he was born on February 22, 1934 in Monticello, NY. Dick was retired from his position as Highway Superintendent for the Town of Bethel. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church of Kauneonga Lake. He was active in the Kauneonga Lake Fire Dept. having been a former Fire Commissioner and he was also a member of the Bethel Lions and was involved in various community projects. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Joan Soule Yeomans, at home; sons, Richard David Yeomans and his wife Vickie of Austell, GA and Ladd Yeomans of Swan Lake; daughters, Jill Dawson and her husband LT. Colonel Augustus R. Dawson of Buena Vista, VA and Carrie Rhodes of Cedartown, GA; 10 grandchildren, Ric, Ashley, Hunter, Ladd Jr., Gus, Christopher, Matthew, Betsy, Cara and Houston; 2 great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Ralei and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Helen Dresch and Lillian Gabriel. There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held on Sunday November 25, 2012 at 4 PM at Community United Methodist Church of Kauneonga Lake, 58 Horseshoe Lake Rd. Kauneonga Lake, NY.
