Obituary of Beatrice J. VanOrden

VanOrden passed away on Tuesday August 20, 2013 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty, NY. She was 99. The daughter of the late Melvin and Minnie Myers VanOrden, she was born on July 15, 1914 in Kauneonga Lake, NY. Beatrice is survived by several cousins. Beatrice was graduated from Kettelinus High School in St. Augustine, FL in 1932 and from Boston University in 1936. She later attended the NY School of Dietetics after which time she served as a dietician in Holy Family Hospital in NYC and was Assistant Dietician at Bard College and Columbia University. She retired from her position as purchasing agent for Dan River Mills in NYC in 1979. There will be no visitation and Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope, NY.
