Obituary of JoAnne T. Greco

Home: Monticello, New York USA Place of Birth: Bronx, New York USA Obituary JoAnne T. Greco Monticello, NY JoAnne T. Greco went to join her furry friends in Heaven on October 7, 2016. The daughter of Vincent and Dora Fazio, she was born on August 12, 1950 in the Bronx, NY. Her parents predeceased her. She was married to Joseph S. Greco on September 2, 1972 and together they raised one fantastic son, Michael Greco, of Monticello, NY. JoAnne and Joseph helped raise their three grandchildren, Eric Shambley (26), Kayla Greco (20) and Joseph Greco (17) and after Michael married Adrianna Mayson Greco, they helped raise Joanna Greco (2). In addition, there are surviving siblings all across the country; Rose Mary, Vincent, Jill, Robert, John, Steven and Scott and her step-mother, Isabelle Fazio, whom she enjoyed visiting. She is also survived by close friends, Kriss Schnitzel, Marie Pfansteil, Jane Buchman, Wendy Sipos, Denise Jakaitis and her caregivers, Andria, Kathleen and Delores. JoAnne was employed at the Raleigh Hotel and was well known during her 28 years there. She always had many stories to tell about the friends she made during her time at the hotel. She was an animal lover her whole life and many times would nurse a sick animal back to health. Her lifelong hobbies were gardening, arts and crafts, cooking and baking. She always loved to share new recipes with friends and family. All were welcomed to her table for a meal. She was a member of the Daytime and Nighttime Red Hat Ladies Clubs and hosted a number of parties for the ladies. She was also a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, JoAnne requested that donations be sent in her name to the Rock Hill SPCA, 104 Rock Hill Drive, Monticello, NY 12701. As per JoAnne's wishes, she was cremated.
