Home: Mongaup Valley, New York USA Place of Birth: Callicoon, New York USA Obituary Penny Lynn Blume Mongaup Valley, NY Penny Lynn Blume, a lifelong Sullivan County resident, passed away on Tuesday January 21, 2014 in Santa Rosa, CA after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was 51. Born on June 27, 1962 in Callicoon, NY, she was the daughter of John W. and Jean Doris Edna Neumann Carman. Penny was a waitress at Blanche's Diner in Mongaup Valley for many years and was also a Weight Watcher's Leader and Administrator and a member of White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. Survivors include her father, John W. Carman of Parksville, NY; her companion, Don Stranathan of Sana Rosa, CA; sons, Josh Sprague and his wife Christie of Syracuse, NY and Edward Blume Jr. of Loch Sheldrake, NY; brothers, Mark Carman and his wife Kathleen of Parksville, NY, Wayne Carman and his companion Laura Quigley of North Branch, NY and Scott Carman and his companion Josie Cross of Liberty, NY; sister, Sherri Kavleski and her husband Paul Kavleski Sr. of Liberty and her special friend, Bonnie Carman of Liberty. Visiting hours are today, Sunday, January 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty, NY. Funeral services will be on Monday, January 27 at 10 AM at White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate. Burial will follow at Callicoon Center Cemetery in Callicoon Center, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Penny's name to LUNGevity Foundation, 218 S.
