Obituary of Louisa Byrd

Louisa Byrd, of Liberty, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the Skilled Nursing Unit at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 75.

She was the daughter of the late Elana Jorge and Juan, born on November 29, 1943 in Puerto Rico.

Louisa enjoyed drawing, designs and sewing, cooking, watching movies,  raising her family and taking her grandchildren.

Louisa leaves behind to cherish her memory her five children, Lisa Jorge-Colon, Cathleen Jorge, Anthony Byrd, Eddie Byrd, Jr., and Elena Chamell Byrd-Mcleod, her son-in-laws, Bobby Maurice Mcleod, and Steven Paul Colon, eight grandchildren, Louise Minthy Byrd, Lakarri Byrd, Eddie Trevonte Byrd, Bobby Elijah Mcleod, Satia Byrd, Seriya Jorge, and Kiesha Steede and four greatgrandchildren, Elijah Byrd, Ezra Byrd, Eddie Trevonte Byrd, II, and Johan King Argilagos.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 3pm on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home, 275 S. Main Street, Liberty, NY 12754. A funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
