Obituary of Peter Meachum

Peter C. Meachum, of Swan Lake, passed away on Wednesday, September 05, 2018, at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 62. The son of the late Melvin Meachum Jr and Beatrice Jensen, born May 25, 1956 in Liberty, NY. Peter is best described as a Jack-of-all-trades, a curious and inventive man who loved to tinker with anything that interested him. He was a devoted husband and a supportive father who loved his family. He had a passion for bowling, good coffee and of course he loved his trucks. He was a friendly conversationalist who had a way of making those he spoke to chuckle at his silly jokes and observations. Peter was a uniquely wonderful soul who will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his new bride and love of his life Rae Ellen Becker, son Jeremiah Meachum of Grahamsville, his two special daughters: Katelyn and Sara Molusky. His siblings: Kathleen Meachum of Liberty, Maureen Barber and husband Clarence of Liberty, Nancy Meachum of Herkimer and Linda Brewer of Pennsylvania. His lifelong friend Dina Tyler of Liberty, his canine companion Cloe, many nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Melvin "Pete" Meachum Jr. and Beatrice Jensen as well as his beloved past canine companion, Mila. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8th from 2-4 pm at Colonial Ramsay Funeral Home, 275 South Main St. Liberty NY 12754.
