She was the daughter of the late Francesco and Christina Taormina and was born on March 9, 1935 in Italy. Vita was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Liberty, NY and was a retired garment worker, having worked for various firms in Brooklyn, NY for moving to Sullivan County from Queens, NY. Survivors include her son, Pepe Augurio of Liberty and a sister, Maria Patty of Selden, NY. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday September 6, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday September 7 at 11 AM at St. Peter's Church, 264 N. Main St. Liberty. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Liberty, NY.
