Obituary of Elizabeth Prince Edwards

Home: Liberty, New York USA Place of Birth: Liberty, New York USA Obituary Elizabeth Lavonne Prince Edwards Liberty, NY Elizabeth Lavonne Prince Edwards, of Liberty, NY, went to be home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, GA. She was 90. The daughter of the late Jacob and Gertrude Porter Zweck, she was born on August 18, 1925 in Liberty, NY. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Karan Johnson (Richard) of Athens, GA, Trudy Crozzoli (Giovanni), Donald W. Prince and Steven (Mary) Prince, all of Liberty, NY and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who are left to cherish her memory. Also surviving are her sister-in-law, Gladys Zweck of Liberty, several nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends, including Maryann DiMaggio and Michael Bukowski. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Donald S. Prince in 1987; her second husband. Emanuel Edwards in 2003; her son, Wayne R. Prince in 2005 and by nine brothers and sisters. "Mother was loved by all and got to celebrate her 90th birthday on Aug. 18, 2015. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was a great mother to all her children and had an open heart for anyone who came to her door. She had moved to Athens, GA in August 2012 to be cared for by her daughter and son-in-law, Karan and Richard Johnson." Family and friends may call on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 7 - 9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty, NY. Funeral services will be on Thursday December 17 at 11 AM at Ramsay's Funeral Home. Rev. Kenneth Rodgers will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
