Dear Friends and Family,
Wanted to say a quick word about Randy, a guy who I was so lucky to have known.
He lived his life to the fullest and was a little tough to keep up with sometimes but I always appreciated him for who he was. Randall S. McMurtry was one of a kind and will be missed by everyone he touched.
Not only was I lucky enough to be friends with him, I also had the privalage of having him as a roommate for a while... I have nothing but fond memories! We had a lot of good times and great laughs together, he had a heart of gold.
Randy had a sense of humor about life that kept him going. I think everyone around him was influenced by his good spirits and charitable deeds. He always put others before himself no matter what.
A deep impression was left on me about what friendship means, I learned that from Randy. Although I will miss him, he will never be forgotten.

I love you, my son, with all my heart and soul; you had your demons; you did your best to work through them; so many people love you and that helps me to work through my grief. I know you loved me, we had a roller coaster ride, from the moment you were born. I would not trade a day of it, to have shared every day of your life. I will pray for your peace in Heaven and hope to join you. Love, Mom

To Janis and the McMurtry Family,
We at Badger Murphy Food Service in Chicago, Illinois wish to extend to you our deepest sympathy.
Randall made deliveries to us, always with a smile, a kind word, and a dig about the White Sox and/or Bears. We will miss interacting with him and his weekly arrivals.

Janis and Joan, You know how much I loved your guy. He was one of the kindest and most caring people I've known and I will miss him. He loved you both so much (his girl and his mother-in-law),. Let him be in your hearts, and ours, for as long as we're here.
