I grew up in Ridgewood with Peter. He was my dear friend. I have so many fond memories with him- some in school but most...outdoors playing basketball, flipping baseball cards, riding bikes, swimming at Graydon pool, skating...on and on! . As a kid he was so kind. I moved away from Ridgewood in 1969, and was sad to recently hear about Peter's death!
I so wish I knew him as an adult but as they say, the foundation of an individual is built in the personality of the child- kindness, humor, and just plain fun were his traits! Thank you Peter for your life! Thank you for enriching mine!! RIP Jill Danforth Davis

I was so sorry to hear of Peter's passing. I had know Peter for almost 10 years as a friendly gentleman, who worked with the Samaritan Village clients; he was a driver to our clinic in Jamaica, Queens. He was always very upbeat, and very respectful to the clients, who often had multiple problems and difficulties. He will be missed greatly by the staff and clients at Damian Family Care Center. Deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I will miss one of the finest men I have encountered in this life forever. I thought of Peter as one of my brothers. He was of the finest stock men are made of with a kindness and concern for others that is rare. I was privileged to know him and will always think of him with great respect as one of the great ones in my life. life is precious and far too short. I send my love and condolences to Janis and family.

Dear Janis and family,
Your husband / father was my landlord, but more than that he was such a nice person, a great guy, selfless and easy to talk with. This is an enormous loss for those like me who only knew him on the periphery, I cannot even begin to imagine your loss. I know he left you with wonderful memories and his legacy lives on.
God has plans for him.
If there is anything at all I can do please do not hesitate to call.
Love,
Gregg DeGregorio

"UNBELIEVABLE!
Peter was taken from FAR to soon. I remember many things about him Like the time we worked together trucking elevator parts for Casper Elevator. But far more than that was his always smiling face and kind gentlemanly demeanor. Lucy, Mom and Dad join me in offering our deepest sympathy and the promise that we will NEVER forget him.
with much Love,
Greg, Lucy, Uncle Warren and Aunt Sue

Janis, Casey, Kristen, Brian and Ericka,
Our prayers go out to your families for your loss. Peter touched all of our lives- mine especially since HS. He was friends with everyone. When he and Kristen visited us in Colorado a few years ago, time had not even passed. He was the same Peter from long ago- sweet, compassionate, fun, adventurous and always a gentleman. He will be missed by all as he never met a stranger.
I will always remember his smile and kind words whenever I saw him. He loved his girls and it was ever so evident. God Bless you all.
Love,
Nancy Todd Carly

I had the pleasure of meeting Peter when I began working at DFCC 9 months ago. I can truly say that Peter was one of the kindest, warmest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He always had a smile on his face and his warm, always friendly demeanor will be greatly missed around the office.
I will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

The world has lost a really great man. A man who would give you the shirt off his back, the last nickel in his pocket, or just that great big happy smile when he knew you were having a bad day.
He was the voice of reason when we had delivery issues and his biggest flaw was that he didn't know how to say NO to anyone.
Although we are all sadden by his passing, we know he is at peace with God , Our Father In Heaven.
Rest in Peace Peter!.

Peter for the past 9 years I saw you walk in and out of my office with a bright smile and good story to tell. A fun person, with a good heart, always ready and willing to help. You could never say no.
You will be missed but not forgotten. I am so happy to have had the pleasure of knowing you. You were truly one of the good ones. May God grant you eternal peace and give your family the strength to overcome this period of grief.

I went hiking and camping once with Peter. The joy and excitement he expressed was infectious , uplifting. He had the gift of being aware of the moment, which is timeless. I am sorry he passed on so early in this life.
