Obituary of Marianne Eidel

Marianne Armstrong Eidel, of Neversink, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at home with her husband by her side. She was 53.
She was the daughter of Florence Gregory and the late Frank Armstrong, born on September 29, 1964 in Monticello, NY.
Marianne grew up in Monticello and attended Monticello schools and then went on to continue her education at SUNY Delhi and SUNY Binghamton before beginning her career with Frontier Insurance. In 2013 Marianne pursued her dream of starting a pet care services business. She had a true love of animals, nature and the outdoors. Her loving husband John always encouraged her to pursue her hobbies which brought her great pleasure, and willingly participated in activities and travel adventures which allowed them to further explore all that Mother Nature has to offer. She also found great joy in hosting gatherings of family and friends, always eager to create lasting memories. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister and friend to all who knew her, she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her devoted husband John; her siblings Jane Armstrong and her husband Jay Silverberg of Connecticut and Frank Armstrong and his wife Marguerite of Rockland County; her Godchildren Devon and Cavan Leaney-Levenson; as well as several nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her sister Christine Hughes.
In lieu of flowers donations in Marianne's name can be made to the First Church of Monticello Presbyterian, 11 Jones St., Monticello, NY 12701 or a charity of one's choice.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19th from 2 to 5pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 20th at 11am at First Church of Monticello, Presbyterian, 11 Jones St. Monticello, NY 12701. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
