I have been trying to find the right words to say.
I had the pleasure of working for Mr Gallagher for sixteen years at SCCC. He was a wonderful boss. When my daughter was sick I would call the house and Mrs. Gallagher would answer and say, "take care of Jamie". When my father was sick with cancer and needed to go for treatments Mr. Gallagher was so understanding and would say "whatever works" to me.
He was a wonderful Vice President and Dean of Faculty. He worked tirelessly. He would even take a fax machine on their vacation so he could keep up with the workload of the college .
After Mr. Gallagher left the college, I left a few years later. Several years later I had the pleasure of working for Mrs. Gallagher, and I would see Mr. Gallagher and we would reminisce.
I will always be grateful to both Mr. and Mrs. Gallagher.
He will be missed!
Love to all.

Thank you for saving my life through education in prison 26 years ago. You were an agent of God's grace. Your life had value beyond the scope of human understanding. Your brilliant mind, kind heart and commitment to be of service to others was a life saving force of good and wonder in my life when I was in prison.

I'm so terribly sorry to hear this news. Jack was a wonderful man and a terrific vice president of the college. He was a great friend to me and I will always remember him fondly. We had an unusual bond in that we both had a mutual history--I attended Parsons College, Fairfield, Iowa, and Jack worked there. The school had a different kind of system of education. PhD's taught the core curriculum on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and on Tuesday and Thursday, master's level professors reviewed and enhanced the course content. Jack was my Tuesday/Thursday professor for my American History class. I was so happy to meet him again when I began working at SUNY Sullivan. My heart, my thoughts and my prayers are with his family that he loved so dearly and was so very proud of.
