Charles W. “Charlie” Conklin Jr., 56, of Grahamsville passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Kaplan residence in Newburgh with his loving family by his side. He will be dearly missed. Charlie was born on March 16, 1959 to Charles Sr. and Margaret “Peggy” Conklin of Delancey, NY in Walton, NY. Charlie was well known in the area as a police dispatcher, fire fighter and manager at the Town of Fallsburg Parks Department. Charlie started his service as a police dispatcher in November of 1989 and retired his service in November of 2012. He was also greatly involved in the Town of Fallsburg PBA golf tournaments, Christmas toy drive and PBA carnival. He enjoyed some personal hobbies of camping and riding his motorcycle but by far his greatest enjoyment was being a devoted husband and grandfather and being an all-around good guy, always willing to give a helping hand. He leaves behind his beloved wife Patricia; His father Charles Sr.; His mother Margaret “Peggy”; His daughter Crystal Conklin; His grandchildren Quincy Irby and Ty Walker; his siblings: Martha and husband John Gardner, Harry and wife Theresa Conklin, Raymond and wife Tammy Conklin, Caroline Conklin and her significant other Bill Wright, Karl and wife Pamela Conklin, Susie Conklin, William Conklin; Father-in-law Benjamin Dulaff; Sister-in-laws Francis and husband Kirk Douvetakis, Betty Paul and Cindy Dulaff; and several nieces and nephews.
