it was with a heavy heart that I received Isabelle's phone call Saturday night . I knew it was the call I was going to regret hearing since i spoke to Isabelle 2 nights previously.
I knew Sonny since I was 7 years old
I spent 2 fun filled weeks each summer with my Aunt, Uncle and cousins.
Thus it only took me a micro second on who I wanted to be my best man at my wedding to Rosemary 52 yrs ago . He was not only my best man for that day but always a great friend . All who came in contact with him realize how blessed they were to share his love and friendship.. He had an inordinate amount of common sense, a man filled with a tremendous amount of love not only for his family but those he knew. He possessed a very subtle dry sense of humor . I am so sorry for your loss. Sonny has always been one of my fathers best friends, he was one of those people who throughout my life has been a constant. He was always so positive and caring, always there when my dad needed him or just to hunt and have a good time. I know he will be sorely missed.
