Obituary of Mary L. Ackerman

Mary L. Ackerman of Livingston Manor passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Sullivan County Adult Care Center. She was 65. She was the daughter of the late Lester and Betty LeRoy Thomas born on May 24, 1949 in Liberty, NY. Mary was a kind and generous person. She loved nothing more than visiting with family and friends for some laughs and a cold one. She was a loving mother, that will be missed deeply by everyone that knew and loved her. She is survived by her beloved son Lenny "Little Man" Ackerman Jr. and his wife Mary, and his father Lenny Ackerman Sr. , her daughters Tina M Kohlwey and Robin L. Mahnken and her husband Scott, her brother Nelson Thomas and his wife Rita, sisters Jenny Marshall, Carol Newman, Betty Cunningham, Brenda Santiago, Karen Kleingardener, Susan Thomas, Penny Santiago, Christine Thomas, Tammy Hernandez, her beloved brother-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews to many to count but she loved everyone of you. She is predeceased by her sisters Blanch Beardslee and brothers Richard, Chris, Lester and Randi Thomas. We want to thank all of the staff who cared for her at SCACC for the past 8 years. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street Livingston Manor NY 12758 from 7-9:00pm. Cremation will take place privately with a burial of ashes in the spring at Lew Beach Cemetery.
