First my sincere condolences to Butch and the entire Hobby Family. I had the privilege to work with Chet throughout our Law Enforcement careers. He always conducted himself in a manner of kindness and professionalism. He will be missed, rest in peace my Brother!!

I worked with Chet when I was with Fallsburg PD from 1981-1986. We remained in contact throughout his career at Fallsburg while I was I was with Middletown PD. We started around the same time at the PD although Chet was part time since he "loved" the gas company so much until he decided he sniffed enough gas. We worked a lot of shifts together and spent some time fishing once in a while with another co-worker AJ Taylor. Chet will be missed by all. My heart goes out to Linda and the rest of the Hobby family. May you rest in peace my brother. Mike Brownstein

I worked with Chet at the Town of Fallsburg Police Dept. He was a kind-hearted person and a great Cop. He truly loved serving his community. He will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to his family.
