It is with great sadness that we must announce that Mr. Alvin Fay Allen of Woodridge, NY, passed away on Monday, October 05, 2020 at the age of 60.
Alvin was born to parents Robert Allen and Annie Lee Damon-Allen on 04/28/1960, in Woodridge, NY. Alvin graduated from Fallsburg Central High School. He went on to attend the University of Colorado where he received a degree in Auto Body Mechanics. He was known for his love of family and as being a favorite brother to all siblings and favorite uncle to all nieces and nephews. He had an eye for style and was devoted to the Lord.
Alvin lived a full and colorful life with many adventures. We used to shake our heads at some of his adventures but now look back on them with laughter. He was never afraid to voice his opinion or crack a joke. His candor, humor, passion, and love will be greatly missed by any who had the privilege to know him.
Alvin is survived by his 3 daughters, Khamara Allen of Woodridge, NY, Rona Crandall-Santana (Sharone) of Richmond,VA, Nomi Allen of Narrowsburg, NY; his 4 grandchildren Jaylon DuBose, Ali Dubose, Kiara Allen, and Isabella Dubose; his sisters, Sheila Damon of Hampton, GA, Aldina Allen-Finn of Troy, NY, Albertine "Peppy" Allen of Woodbridge, NJ, Theresa Trujillo (Juan) of Woodridge, NY, Henia Damon-Graham of Woodbridge, NJ, Sylvia Damon of Carteret, NJ; his brothers Godfrey "Eric" DuBose, of Woodbourne, NY and Maurice DuBose (Nicole) of Woodridge, NY. He is preceded in death by his Father Robert Allen, Mother Annie Lee Damon-Allen and Stepfather Sidney Chavis; his brothers Christopher Allen and Robert Allen Jr. Alvin also leaves to cherish his memory a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A viewing and service for Alvin and those who wish to say goodbye to him, will be available at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home in Woodbourne NY on Sunday October 11, 2020 between the hours of 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The family is grateful for all support and condolences offered.
