Karen, Brenda and Susan.............I am so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. I have many fond memories of the times I spent at your house with your parents.....they were like second parents to me. Hold her memory close in your hearts and know that others are grieving with you and praying for healing.
Love Lorna

The Gate
(Written by Louise Dayton)
The Lord welcomes you,
With open arms.
To take you home,
Through the gate.
The time is near,
The time will come.
Jesus has called,
And he awaits.
Sending his angels,
To help you through.
The Lord will,
Welcome you.

Our ' Mommy'
Mommy (yes, we still call her Mommy) was born during the depression … a feisty, blue eyed, red head. As a big sister, she learned parenting skills that served her well when she had us three girls at a very young age; she had just turned 18 when she had Susan.
Over time, Mommy juggled us three girls, Daddy (yes, we still call him Daddy), a fulltime job, and our new house.
Daddy always said that Mommy wore the pants in the family … and he was smart enough to let her do so. He always called her ‘my little Margy’. Mommy was always there for us kids as we grew up.
When we were grown and went on our merry ways, ‘Gabby cat’ replaced us. Jokingly, we said “Mommy got rid of us girls because the cat was allergic’. She babied that cat and he became her sole companion after Daddy died.
She also LOVED LOVED LOVED the Property Brothers and made all of us (even our friends whom she didn’t know) vote for Drew every week when he was on Dancing with the Stars. She had many signed photos of ‘her boys’ on the wall including one with Andrew and Lori when they met the brothers in Las Vegas.
After Grandpa Rufus passed, Mommy realized that our loving family never really expressed their love for each other and she decided it was time that we did. From that day forward, she never let a phone call or a visit end without telling us that she ‘loved us more’… and we have all done that ever since.
Because of her strength and fortitude, she fought a long courageous battle with lymphoma for 14 years. She was always an inspiration to us all and she will always be in our hearts.
AND Mommy, you may have ‘loved us more’, but we couldn’t have loved you less. We miss you, Mommy.

Though I never had the chance to meet Margaret I do see her reflection in my friends Karen and Susan. I see the love she shared. I feel the warmth when I hear their stories of growing up. May peace be with the whole family as they remember this special woman.
