Russ and I were great friends in nursing school – we were a bit older than most of the students, both of us had college behind us, and there were only 3 guys in the class. After graduation, we lost contact: he took a job down at NYU and my wife and I moved to Rochester. 25 years later I tried to organize a class reunion and located him in the Catskills. He said he was trying to start a refuse collection business. Unfortunately the reunion never happened, and we lost contact.
Recently I got together with some other classmates and thought about Russ. I was saddened to find that he passed away. All the kind words in his Obit. are true – he really was the nicest guy. Rest in peace, Russ.
