Dennis was frequently a welcome, smiling presence at many of our races. He shared his own story with us, being a former runner, yet continued to be a large part of the running community. He will be greatly missed!

Dennis was kind and engaging soul. Always energetic and full of wisdom, his presence in any room was always welcome and often entertaining. Would often see him dancing on the rotunda walkway at Bethel Woods. Will miss him dearly.
I was very sad to hear of Dennis passing. My heart goes out to all of the family and friends he leaves behind. My earliest memory of Dennis is when I was about 12. My father took us up to the lake to visit when he was staying with Gradma. He treated my uncle Thomas and I like brothers even though we were a lot younger. He thought us how to play chess, let us use his old spice and made us laugh our butts off.
Whenever I would see him, after years had passed, he would greet me like I'd seen him last week. Great hugs and a big heart, with a personality that pulled you in. He will be greatly missed.
Please accept my deepest condolences.. I am so sorry for your loss.. I didn’t know Dennis that well.. I did know him from around.. I got to really know him last year when he did some painting for me.. a great painter and a great man.. he was definitely one of a kind, and someone that I was glad to have had the pleasure of meeting.. you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.. The funniest guy I've had a great pleasure knowing. My most treasured memory is the breakfast at Liberty Diner. As bad as I felt getting my daughter a Christmas gift free from a church... He made me laugh and smile. Fly High Dennis will miss you and your huge sense of humor.
