Obituary of Janet Helen Davis

Janet Helen Davis (Bivins), of Liberty, NY, passed away on May 19, 2021 following a long illness at her home, under the care of Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County. Janet was born in Livingston Manor, NY on April 16, 1946 to Charles Bivins and Myrtle Hendrickson. She was an active member of her community and enjoyed several hobbies and interests, including needlepoint, crochet, word searches and puzzles. She was a member of the Livingston Manor Fire Company/Ladies Auxiliary (formerly known as Hoose Truck Ladies Auxiliary). She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Janet is survived by her children, William Bivins (Theresa) of Selkirk, NY, Tiffany Gilson (Dell) of Liberty, NY, and Beatrice Hamilton (Paul) of Brooksville, FL; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her sister Edna Boyles; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Victor Davis. The family would like to extend their thanks to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County. Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 10-11 am at Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home, 275 South Main Street, Liberty, NY, with a funeral service at 11 am and interment at the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty.
