Betty L. Curry of Liberty passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was 70 when she passed. Betty was born February 12, 1951 in Monticellollo, NY and was the daughter of the late William Decker Jr., and Thelma Degraw. For many years Betty worked as a file clerk in the insurance department of the Maxon Corp in Neversink, NY. She was the backbone of the office and kept everything running and organized. Similarly, Betty was the lifeblood of her family who she cherished spending time with, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, cooking, a nice cup of coffee with extra cream, and sharing her recipes. Betty also loved flowers, finding good deals and a coupon to go along with it. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband William "Buck" Curry, her sons Robert Curry and his wife Ursula, Tony Decker Curry and his wife Jennifer, her grandchildren Emma Curry, Marcus Curry, Christian Curry, Matthew Marcano and Juliette Curry, her sister Ruth Stratton and her husband Perry, her brother Roger Decker, many nieces and nephews and a host of cherished friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 11-2:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at Old Falls Cemetery, Fallsburg, NY. Arrangements were under the care of Colonial Memorial Funeral Home.
