Obituary of Randy Drew Keator
Please share a memory of Randy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Randy Keator, 65 of Liberty NY, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 16th. Randy was born and raised in Liberty New York, he lived in the area most of his life. Randy was widowed by his wife of 32 years, Patricia Keator, and is survived by his daughter, Britney Keator, currently residing in New Jersey.
Anyone that knew Randy, knew he had his share of personal demons, but the people that knew him the best, knew a different side of him. He was a caring and giving father, husband, neighbor and friend. He wasn't perfect, but he never pretended to be. He was, unapologetically, himself. He was a gentle soul, hidden behind a tough exterior, and would do anything for the people he cared for.
Randy loved to have fun, in every sense of the word, and instilled that sense of adventure to those closest to him. He was an avid trivia enthusiast and always had the answer, often before the question was even finished. He was a huge sports fan, and would watch anything that he could keep score on. He loved vacationing and most family trips involved a theme park, or some kind of outdoor activity. He enjoyed reminiscing and driving around Sullivan county, pointing out all the hotels, golf courses, and ski resorts he worked at growing up.
Randy loved his family and was the best dad and husband he could be. At the request of his loved ones, there will be no services held- instead, they ask that you remember the good times you shared with Randy over the years. Rest in peace Dad and we bid you one final "Cheers".
