Clarence Rose, Jr., of Greenfield Park, NY, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown, NY. He was 83.
He was the son of the late Clarence Rose, Sr. and Lula (Grimm) Rose, born on June 19, 1938 in Kripple Bush, NY.
Clarence worked as a truck driver for the Town of Wawarsing. He was a life member of the Mountaindale Fire Department. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling with his wife Joyce, stopping by yard sales, old time square dancing and looked forward to his yearly trip to Georgia. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law and friend, he will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his children Joseph Rose and his wife Yvette, Victoria Stanton, David Rose and his wife Lillian and Michael Rose; grandchildren Scotty, Christopher, David Jr., Jonathan, Cassandra and Cathleen Rose, Tricia Gold (Tyler), Stephanie and Jennifer Rose, Heather Manor (Frank), and John Stanton; his great-grandchildren Pearl Gold and Jailyn and Amber Manor and Scotty, Jr.; his sister-in-law Marie Rose; as well his cousin Gloria Grisby and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his devoted wife Joyce whom he shared 61 years with; and siblings Benny and John Rose, Cecil Doolittle, Andy, Harry and Jimmy Grimm.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7pm on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A firematic service will be held at 7pm. A visitation will be held from 10-11am on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the funeral home followed by a funeral service at 11am. Father Thomas DeSimone will officiate. Interment will follow at Grahamsville Rural Cemetery. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, masks must be worn at all times.
