John was a talented gentleman, with a wry sense of humor and a firm honest handshake. The guys at the airport will remember him fondly. Bob Ratner

I love you all so much I wish I had the words to fill the massive void left in the wake of all this
He truly was a remarkable father, loving Husband, devoted son/grandson/nephew/cousin,caring brother, amazing uncle, and one of the funniest great uncles
He had an infectious spirt as soon as he walked into the room all eyes were on him.
He brought so much joy and laughter to all that new him
He had such a zest for life and wanted to share it with everyone
He always wanted to help on any way he could
He was the one who against mom and grandmas better judgment would let us kids ride all the work machines and always the first to stand up for us silly kids if we got in trouble
he always got us out of it
He treated us his niece and nephew as if we were his own
Between him and uncle glen we learned all the things a jersey kid or as he put it (city kids)should know about the country
We learned to drive Stick shift on the tractor and in their trucks
well we did the steering they did everything else except the tractor that we got the full experience ridding the atvs going up to dear camp playing with poor bear going to river camp playing in rivers fishing tube rides on lake George
So much outdoor fun with nature where he truly shined
he took us along on vacations always included us giving us so many joyous moments even if I was not the best at skiing and terrified of sharks and alligators
He really was such an amazing person
I’m really going to miss him
But I have to say Jerseyans are way better drivers than New Yorkers
He always spoke about his dad grandpa erts and how short their time was together
I wonder if they’re up there shooting off fireworks going fishing having a grand ole time and grandma baking her pies humming away as they eat cake in milk which still is my favorite
I do know this when you Kendra and Ryan in a really dark place all you need to do is look in the mirror I see so much of him in both of
him and aunt linda raised two smart strong confident kind courageous beautiful kids
just know he’s not gone he lives inside both of you
I hope that this provides you with strength and comfort Im here if you need me to listen
May god provide you all with the strength and peace needed and may his love heal all of your wounds
