John Cascone, of Woodbourne, NY passed away on Thursday, January 13th at Garnet Health Medical Center. He was 84.
The son of Thomas Cascone and Maria Josephine Notorfanciso, he was born on July 1, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY. John loved sports. He was a loyal Mets fan; and an avid bowler who belonged to many leagues over the years. He was an electrician by profession and served in the United States Navy.
John could always be counted on to add his dry sense of humor to any conversation and to show up for a project, especially when electricity was involved. He also had a great love for animals, especially his dogs.
John is pre-deceased by his wife Vita Cascone. He leaves behind his sons John Jr. and Thomas; his daughter Donna and her husband Paul; his 5 grandchildren, Crystal, Jenine, Jennifer, Kristina and Paul; and three great grandchildren, Michael, Antonino; and Cristiano as well as a loving extended family including his brother in-law Sal Regina and his wife Laraine, brother in-law Alfonso Frangipane and six nieces and nephews: Donna Siegel and her husband Barry, Nick Frangipane and his wife Beth, Claudia Dietz and her husband Gerry, Denise Frangipane Pammer and her husband Bill, Kristy Gonsher and Maria (Pixie) Santoro along with three great-nieces, Lauren Sutton, Alexandra Dietz, Nichole Martinez; and eight great-nephews: Jeremy Siegel, Christopher Regina, Matthew Coney, Aidan Dietz, Taylor Gonsher, Hunter Frangipane, and Ian Pammer.
John's Family will receive visitors on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 7 to 9pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY. Interment and a graveside service will be held at Grahamsville Rural Cemetery, Route 55, Grahamsville, NY on Saturday, January 22nd at 10am.
