Obituary of Stephen Gregory Martino

Stephen Gregory Martino of Monticello, NY, passed away on March 12, 2022.  He was 95 years old.

Stephen was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 23, 1926 to Rosario Martino and Rosalie Perrone Martino.  He served his country in the US Navy.  After completing his service, he worked in the field of Cosmetology and owned and operated Isabel’s Beauty Salon in Fallsburg.  Stephen enjoyed a wide variety of interests; he loved the great outdoors and could often be found biking, skiing, and horseback riding through the Catskill Mountains he cherished so dearly.  He had a keen interest in real estate, and was an avid reader, especially books about the American stock market and economics.

He leaves behind his daughter, Kathleen Cleary and her husband Philip of Maryland; his son, Gregory Martino of New Mexico; his daughter Stacey Orestky and her husband Jace of Florida; his brother, Frank Martino of Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Kelly Lucas, Joshua Bogner, and Taylor Oretsky; his great-grandchildren, Miranda Hudson and her husband Joshua and Tyler and Travis Bogner; and his great-great-granddaughter, MacKenzie Petrella.  He is predeceased by his loving wife, Isabel Catherine Gillar Martino.  

Funeral services will be held at a later time at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the care of Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home, 275 St. John Street, Monticello, NY.
