I have such fond memories of Aunt Joyce over the years. Uncle Ralph and my mom Hilda, were siblings. So the two women naturally became close friends. We would come to the "country" on the weekends so mom could see her family. The best memories I have are that our parents close, with lots of laughter, and the kids were able to play together in the beautiful New York countryside, safe and happy. An idyllic memory to be sure. But as the two women grew older they became closer and lived together for a time. Enjoying each other's company living in the big house next to the cemetery. Aunt Joyce was there for my mom at many stages of her life and it was always appreciated. She will be missed and I'm sure the two of them are watching over us now enjoying a glass of wine on the porch !!!
Love to the family.
