Obituary of Dorothy Lee Morgan
Please share a memory of Dorothy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dorothy Lee Morgan, 87, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born in Anniston Alabama the oldest of eight children born to Gordon Lee & Dora Fuller. She completed her education in Alabama and would later move to Durham NC with her family. After several years her father was offered a job in the Catskill Mountains in Sullivan County NY. The family would move to Woodridge NY where she would reside until her passing. Dorothy worked several jobs while raising two children on her own. One of the jobs she loved most was working for Robert & Sue Krutman, Bob & Ina Wolfson & Gerald & Shirley Rudolph. She didn't consider it work because they always made her feel like part of their families. We are forever thankful & grateful for the love & support they always showed our family. Dorothy became a faithful member of 1st Baptist Church of South Fallsburg where she served on the usher board.
Later years Dorothy health would decline due to uncontrollable hypertension, stroke, heart attack & most recent a hip fracture. Through it all she never showed pain & would keep smiling relying on her strength & undeniable faith in God. Eventually these health issues would take a toll on her. She fought a good fight but in the end she would pass away in her sleep.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughter Tina Morgan of Woodridge NY, son Michael Morgan of Monticello NY, brother Gordon Fuller of Danbury CT, sisters Barbara Fuller of Brooklyn NY, Gwendolyn Faye Fuller and Kathy Fuller of Woodridge NY, brother-in-law Burnett Curtis Grayson II of South Orange NJ, aunts Vera Nelson Danbury CT, Mae Francis Morgan Anniston AL, Eunice Foster Detroit MI and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents Gordon Lee and Dora Fuller, sisters Jeanette Van Lierop, Dora Catherine Grayson & Carolyn Jean Fuller.
Mom you were a strong faithful loving mother who set a great example for your children. You can take your rest now. Well done good & faithful servant. Take your wings and fly into the loving arms of God.
The family would like to thank all those who offered prayers, sent cards, flowers, money & food. Keep us in your prayers & pray our continued strength during this difficult time.
