Letty Faye Steingart, 91, of Town of Fallsburg, NY passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 surrounded by family.

She was born on July 12, 1931, to the late Rose and Max Fierstein in Newark, New Jersey. As a teenager she spent summers with her parents in the Catskills where she met the love of her life Alan Steingart. She is survived by her daughter Cindy Perlmutter (Bruce), Ira Steingart (Jill) and Nathan Steingart (Rachel); grandchildren Jacqueline Haan (Robert), Frederic Perlmutter (Theresa), Zakary, Rose, Alyson, Ava and Charlotte Steingart; and great grandson Alec Haan.

She was predeceased by her husband Alan, parents Rose and Max, and brother Sheldon.

Letty truly enjoyed life, family and friends. She was fortunate enough to travel the world and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren grow. When Letty was around you most likely were having a good time. From golf to skiing, and enjoying a good bottle of red wine, she was a lover of life.

Donations in Letty’s memory may be made to South Fallsburg Hebrew Association or Hospice of Sullivan and Orange.

Arrangements are entrusted to Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, with Graveside Services at South Fallsburg Hebrew Association Cemetery in Glen Wild, NY on Sunday, July 31 at 12:00 noon. The family will be sitting shiva at the home of Cindy and Bruce Perlmutter.
