Hattie V. (Sing) Higgins, age 73, of Monticello, NY, unexpectedly entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 26th, at Garnet Health Medical Center.
Hatte was born on April 11, 1949, in North Carolina, to Willie and Mary Godley. For many years Hattie worked at Sullivan County Infirmary and provided home health care for multiple Sullivan County residents.
Hattie will always be remembered for her infectious smile and laughter.
Hattie is survived by her husband Anthony (Maurice), her four sons: Timothy Rodgers and his wife Priscella of North Carolina, Titus Bridges and his wife Michelle of Monticello, Tyrone Bridges, and his significant other Judy of Delaware, and Telly Bridges and his significant other Nicole of New Jersey. All blessing Hattie with grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she adored.
Hattie is also survived by her brother Reggie Godley, his significant other Andrea of Liberty, and her sister Eva Godley of Monticello, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Hattie was predeceased by both parents, and three brothers, Donne, Lawrence, and Wille Godley, Jr.
Family and friends will celebrate the life of Hattie Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Colonial Ramsay Funeral Home, 55 St. John Street, Monticello, NY. Visitation will be at 11 am, with a service to follow at noon.
Hattie’s final resting place will be with her parents at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello, NY.
