Obituary of Virginia M. Burger

Virginia M. Burger, of South Fallsburg, NY passed away on August 29, 2022 at Garnet Health Medical Center. She was 62. She was the daughter of the late Ralph A. Burger and Steffie Mierzwinski, born on April 14, 1960 in Trenton, NJ. Virginia enjoyed playing BINGO in her free time; she loved elephants and motorcycles; but above all else she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children Charles "Charlie" Payne and his wife Erica, Virginia Payne and Ralph Payne and his significant other Jen; grandchildren Ariel, Scarlett, Jayson, Nevaeh, Laila, Darrel, Dante and Angelina; siblings Lillian VanDerMark, Joyce Rhoades, Rose Marie Froelich, Cindy and Ralph Burger; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband Charles Robert Payne and siblings Linda Rodriguez, Roy Burger and Michael Burger. Donations in Virginia's name can be made to the Hurleyville Fire Department, P.O. Box 248, Hurleyville, NY 12747. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6pm on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A funeral service will begin at 6pm at the funeral home.
