Obituary of Kathy Louise Denman

We are sad to announce the passing of Kathy Denman of Grahamsville, NY, on September 6, 2022. She was 61.

Kathy was born to Thelma and Ken Richards on March 4, 1961 in Liberty, NY. She leaves behind her devoted husband Robert Denman and loving son Thomas Denman.

Kathy was a proud graduate of Monticello High School, class of 1979. She was co-owner of Denman Insurance Agency with her husband Robert whom she married on August 27, 1983. She was an active member of her community, she was a Sunday School teacher at the Dutch Reformed Church in Grahamsville, NY, held a seat for 13 years on the Tri-Valley School Board, as well as sat on the board of the Daniel Pierce Library, Time & Valleys Museum and the Tri-Valley Youth Commission, she was the superintendent of the Grahamsville Rural Cemetery and she was a member of the Grahamsville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for 30 years and the President for 5 years for the group. She loved snowmobiling, motorcycle riding, quilting, and was an accomplished 3D archer, winning many trophies and tournaments.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 2 to 4pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A memorial service will be conducted by the Ladies Auxiliary at 4pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 11am on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Grahamsville Rural Cemetery.
