Arnold H. Burger of Forestburg passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at home. He was 73. He was the son of the late Henry Burger and Margaret Rowe, born in Queens, NY., on December 27, 1948. Arnold proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1968-1970. For many years he worked at the Bank of New York until his retirement in 2004. He was HAM Radio Operator for many years; his call sign is N2NHT. He was very handy and could put something together from nothing. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Marion, his son Daniel McCarthy and his wife Morgan of Glen Spey, his daughter Arline McCarthy of Forestburg, his granddaughter Lyla, his sister Babe Burger, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Burger. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Colonial Ramsay Funeral Home, 55 St. Johns Street, Monticello, NY 12701, from 12:00pm-3:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 3:00. Interment will follow with full military honors at the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Liberty, New York.
